Grand Bohemia
A boat like a floating theater, where wooden surfaces and faceted forms evoke a kaleidoscopic three-dimensionality. An acoustic ceiling with indirect lighting shapes the ambiance.
Capacity of 550 people/Prague/2018

Project Introduction
Boats are as much a part of our work as the sea is to Brazil — we are inspired by the endless movement of water and the play of light on its surface. The interior of the boat, with a capacity of up to 550 people, reflects these inspirations. A key element of the design is the use of indirect lighting, carefully positioned so as not to interfere with panoramic views of Prague’s skyline — even at night.
The wooden flooring, lightweight chairs, and expansive glazing create a flexible environment that can easily adapt to different uses. The chosen materials ensure durability, ease of maintenance, and a contemporary, welcoming aesthetic.

Geometry
Movement within the interior is accentuated by three-dimensional elements that evoke light refraction and the flow of water. The walls, bar, and ceiling symbolically ripple in harmony with the surface of the river, creating a spatial rhythm that mirrors the landscape outside.

Kaleidoscope
The geometric shaping of the space is reminiscent of a kaleidoscope — a dynamic composition that reflects the shimmering surface of water and the essence of movement itself. These changing forms are not only expressive but functional: the acoustic ceiling prevents unwanted echoes, while the dispersed lighting provides atmosphere without obstructing the view
Symbiosis

Symbiosis
Perforated details on the cladding and bar are echoed in the design of the acoustic ceiling, as well as in the graphic divisions behind the bar and within the restrooms. Though each element has its own distinct form, the space remains visually unified through a consistent design language.
Surfaces
The wooden flooring, lightweight chairs, durable table surfaces, and expansive glazing respond to the need for a flexible space designed to age with grace.
