We work on a wide range of projects, from technological solutions and commercial spaces to urban complexes.
We enjoy experimenting and exploring new approaches. Every project involves collaboration with various experts — we believe that dialogue expands possibilities.
Whether designing a commercial space or an urban area, we value the shared creative process aimed at balancing function and beauty.
Approach
We believe that projects should reflect the personality of the people for whom we design. Our signature is reflected in custom-made elements, the quality of materials and their craftsmanship, as well as innovative solutions. We also focus on sustainability and overall cohesion.
/01
Sustainability
We are aware of the growing pressures society places on the planet, and we strive to respond with ecological thinking. We prioritize local materials, integrate renewable energy sources, and design environments with longevity and resilience in mind.
/02
Context
Each project is preceded by comprehensive research: the location within the city, the landscape, sun exposure, the lifestyle of our clientele, and cultural and social requirements. The complexity of relevant information leads to a meaningful and timeless structure.

Detail
Once the building or space has solid foundations, it’s time for playful creativity: well-designed interior details, unusual surface textures, or surprising lighting effects give our projects a unique atmosphere.
Studio
The work of VEHA draws from two worlds. The gentle climate calls for adaptability — designs that breathe, responding gracefully to shifting temperatures and ever-changing light.
At the same time, Brazilian tradition lends our spaces a sense of openness, playful interactions with light, and a rich tapestry of materials. By weaving these two sensibilities together, we create spaces that are both innovative and deeply personal.
At the core of our design philosophy lies a simple truth: architecture must honor the human scale, embracing the needs and experiences of those who live, work, and dream within our walls.
Ours is a collaborative process.
Listening. Sharing. Imagining together. Our inspirations are many — classical architecture, personal narratives, and the questions of our time. We welcome the challenges brought by new technologies, materials, and the urgent need for sustainability.
Blending years of hands-on experience with your unique vision, we create architecture and interiors that not only meet expectations but transcend them.
Meet the Team
/CEO & Main Architect
Vera Hampl
Architecture has shaped me since childhood. Both of my uncles were architects and taught me to perceive the world with an educated, discerning eye. An internship with Indio da Costa awakened my passion for urbanism — it was also where I later met my partner, Rosanna Tosetti.
My time with Ruy Ohtake equally influenced me, deepening my appreciation for the power of atmosphere. In 1999, I founded my own practice, Vera Hampl Architects (VEHA), which now operates in both Prague and Rio de Janeiro. In my work, I focus primarily on bringing our clients’ visions to life. My preferred tools for achieving the desired effect are the harmony of materials and the transformative power of light. I enjoy experimenting with contemporary technologies and enhancing architecture with works of art.
I have a deep passion for floor plans and construction sites, where I find a unique and singular beauty.

Rosanna Tosetti
Architecture has accompanied Rosanna Tosetti throughout her professional life. A Brazilian architect with extensive experience in project leadership, architectural design, and team management.
She began her career as an intern at the studio of Índio da Costa, where she later became head of the entire architecture office, leading major projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. She received honorable recognition for her contribution to the design of the Pavilhão do Brasil for Expo Sevilla and participated in the urban design competition Rio Cidade. Among her most significant works are the design and construction management of the Teatro Collinas and the renovation of the CCR Barcas headquarters complex, where she worked for over a decade.
She is a long-standing partner at Vera Hampl Architects, where we collaborate on a wide range of projects. She has also served as a jury member for evaluating graduation projects and has contributed to shaping a new generation of architects.
